BORN with a passion for design coupled with a keen sense of style Roswitha is a natural born bridal designer. Inspired by the clean lines of the twenties, thirties, forties and fifties this Dublin-born designer has launched her premier bespoke bridal collection for spring/summer 2004. Her collection of "contemporary-classic" dresses are timeless in their elegance, combining sumptuous fabrics and a romantic grace with up to the minute styling.

Roswitha draws her influences from many sources, the most important being the bride herself, and she works intimately with each customer to achieve the perfect look. Each of the gowns shown here was individually designed for a bride and is presented here to show Roswitha's handwriting. Roswitha has an extensive network of contacts scattered across the globe and can source fabrics from all the major European centers be it London, Paris or Rome. She can also advise on and source unique accessories for your special day.

Roswitha has been a professional fashion designer since 1985 and has worked for most of the commercial labels in Ireland at one time or another. For the past few years she has designed collections on a freelance basis for various clients in both Ireland and abroad. Roswitha also has an outlet in Principles on Grafton Street, Dublin selling ready to wear debs, evening wear, bridal wear and bridesmaids dresses under her label Direction.

ROSWITHA has been designing and making wedding and bridesmaids dresses for over fifteen years. Initially she only took commissions from close friends and family as a personal favor. Due to an overwhelming positive response from satisfied brides and bridesmaids, she has been inspired to create her first collection of exclusive custom made bridal wear.

Roswitha also has a loyal clientele who come to her for evening wear or something custom designed for that very special occasion. She is also one of the Oscar winning actress Angelica Houston's favourite designers, shown in the shot above wearing a coat she asked Roswitha to design for her.
